As well as supporting the re-election of Matthew Barber as Thames Valley Police and Crime Commissioner, the Association is campaigning in our Runnymede wards which have local elections on 2nd May.
Lewis Virgo in Virginia Water and Wendy Locker, our candidate in Englefield Green West, are warning of the dangers of Labour winning control of Runnymede Borough Council.
Under the Conservatives, Runnymede residents enjoy the lowest council tax in Surrey and are served by a united team, delivering investment and great services as well as a tight hold on the finances. A Labour coalition of several parties would be a recipe for bickering and reckless spending.
Lewis is campaigning against the threat of gravel raising in the village, and has already been tackling residents' issues from blocked drains to road repairs.
Wendy works for a council helping lower income families to access support. She has organised the Englefield Green Village Fair for 12 years, runs litter picks and helps at the Forest Estate Community Hub, as well as being a former committee member of the Englefield Green Village Residents Association.
Polls are open from 7am until 10pm on Thursday 2nd May. You will need a photo ID to vote.
